Understanding Amazon fees and profit

Your net profit on an Amazon sale is what remains after various fees are deducted from the sale price. The main fees are:

  • Referral fee (commission): A percentage of the sale price that varies by category.
  • FBA fulfillment fee: The pick-pack-ship charge based on product size/weight (FBA only).
  • Storage fee: A monthly charge for stock held in the FBA warehouse.
  • Other: advertising, returns processing, long-term storage, etc.

GoSellerGo shows a live fee estimate when adding and pricing products (via Amazon’s fee estimate API), so you can see whether a price actually leaves profit before you sell. GoPricer also bases its decisions on this margin calculation.
